BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT In times of crises young people´s access to sexual and reproductive health and rights information and services are severely curtailed by lock-downs or curfews. Elsewhere, access is denied or restricted for moral or religious reasons. Rural women and girls face the additional geographical disadvantage of accessing information and services. This side-event under the auspices of the Commission on the Status of Women brings together senior government representatives, civil society, international organisations, and youth representatives for a conversation around the importance of safeguarding access to SRHR services and information.
