When charging an electric vehicle, there are generally two options. Alternate Current (AC) power is the type of power found at home. Plugging a Polestar 2 into the mains charges the battery from 0-80% in 8-10 hours. Direct Current (DC) power is much faster, but generally only available at dedicated electric vehicle charging stations. Charging with DC power will take Polestar 2 from 0-80% in around 40 minutes. With a little planning, and maybe the installation of a wallbox at home, the Polestar 2 battery can always be charged and ready to go.
