video thumbnail
One of The New School Art Collection's most significant works will be installed on campus: Roxy Paine’s Dinner of the Dictators, 1993-95 from November 19, 2016 to January 4, 2017 in the Sheila Johnson Design Center's Arnold and Sheila Aronson Gallery at 66 5th Avenue.

This seminal work, recently restored by the artist, will act as a point of departure for a broader discussion of food, power, and politics, featuring Paul Freedman, Chester D. Tripp Professor of History, Yale University, Nina Khrushcheva, Professor of International Affairs at The New School, and moderated by Fabio Parasecoli, Associate Professor and Director of Food Studies Initiatives at The New School.

Sponsored by the University Art Collection (https://newschool.edu/about/university-art-collection), Parsons School of Design (https://newschool.edu/parsons), the Food Studies Program (http://newschool.edu/public-engagement/ba-bs-food-studies), and the India China Institute (http://indiachinainstitute.org) at The New School.
