Dhanyabad - LivingNEPAL Documentary (2018) |
|
Dhanyabad is a documentary that sheds light on the facets of humanitarian co-operation in the context of Nepal. It also serves to highlight the importance of prioritising education in reconstruction efforts in affecting long-lasting change; an approach predominantly used by grassroots projects and smaller organisations in overlooked rural communities.
Transported to remote villages on the slopes of the Himalayas, Dhanyabad gives insight into traditional Nepali culture and reveals how many of these rural communities often remain forgotten by bigger humanitarian aid schemes in the post-earthquake rebuilding process.
