Newcastle United are close to agreeing a fee with Everton for Anthony Gordon.

Talks over a structured deal totalling £45m are at an advanced stage.

Gordon attended Finch Farm this morning. Sources indicate he didn't train with the rest of his teammates, but Everton's stance is he trained as normal.

He's been absent from training the previous three days as Newcastle attempt to sign him.

There is growing belief a deal can be done over the weekend.
