Between them, Leo Messi and Luis Suárez have a total of six Golden Shoe awards -the prize given to the top goalscorers in European league competition. Four have been won by Messi for his goals scored at Barça, and two have been won by Suárez, who was the joint top marksman (tied with Cristiano Ronaldo on 31 goals) in 2013/14 before joining the club from Liverpool.
Messi and Cristiano are tied for the most Golden Shoe awards won, with four each, but the Argentinian is the player to win the prize with the most goals in a single season, finding the net 50 times in 2011/12.
