Earnie Shavers - Was an American professional boxer who competed between 1969 and 1995. A two-time world heavyweight championship challenger, Shavers is known for being one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight boxing history. He scored 68 knockout wins, including 23 in the first round. He held a 76.4% overall knockout ratio. Shavers challenged unsuccessfully twice for the heavyweight championship, losing to Muhammad Ali in 1977 and to Larry Holmes in 1979.
