the bernalillo county detention center has officially started moving out inmates to other jails. m-d-c was put on lockdown this morning while nearly 50 inmates were moved. they're being transferred to the sandoval county detention center. this is the first of several transfers as they try to cut down on overcrowding at the jail. last month bernalillo county commissioners agreed to the transfer of up to 300 inmates by june of next year.
