"Cutting unfixed paper (固定していない紙の試斬)"

Cutting paper in half is more difficut than that you expect, much more paper which is not fixed. Usually people "hit"the paper, or can not cut it in half completely.
However, does the technique of cutting unfixed paper have something to do with real sword fighting? If you learn how to cut unfixed paper, you can do it. It is not special technique. Then, why do we practice it?
We practice cutting to learn how to use our body parts in each situation, and condition. Such way can help us to understand the precise use of body part. We need to learn theory (maybe physics), and need to choose suitable cutting method without thinking.
Tenshin ryu Hyouho mainly focuses cutting the finger, hand, shoulder, eye, throat, leg, and other body parts. We do not try to cut the opponent's body in half. If we do, maybe the blade get tip by human's bone.
