Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Meet the man who was a principal figure in drafting the Indian Constitution, the undisputed leader of the Dalits, and a champion of women’s rights. A politician and an economist who strove to bring about social, political, and economic stability in India.

Dr. B R Ambedkar was born on 14 April, 1891. Throughout his life, he initiated and advanced many movements and reforms for the upliftment of the downtrodden, and those discriminated on the basis of their castes or gender. He also sought to bring about massive changes in the social, political, and economic landscapes that would carry India toward a more egalitarian and just nation. Even today, Babasaheb Ambedkar is seen as a beacon of light for India’s minorities.

The 14th of April is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti in honour of this visionary, to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr B R Ambedkar. Happy Ambedkar Jayanti.
