Two-time U.S. Open champion Naomi Osaka was in practice in New York ahead of the commencement of this year's edition.
Coming off a loss to Shuai Zhang in Cincinnati, Osaka will take on 19th seeded Danielle Collins in the first round in Flushing. Osaka, who did not play at Wimbledon, enters the tournament she won in 2018 and 2020 unseeded. She has not advanced past the Round of 32 at any Slam since winning the Australian Open last year. |
