A chance to live again. | Bitebo Gogo | TEDxPortHarcourt

video thumbnail
In a touching personal talk filled with pictures, Bitebo reminds people that life could lead us in a different direction from that which we plan for ourselves, but if we rise up to the challenge, it could work out in ways we have never imagined.

Bitebo Gogo is a lawyer by training and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995. She is a chartered Arbitrator and Mediator. After her last job as a legal advisor in Delattre Bezon Nigeria Limited in Bonny Island in 2007, she became a volunteer/patron with the Red Cross Society in Nigeria. In 2010, after a life threatening experience, she had an epiphany and became the Founder and Executive Director of Keeping It Real (KIR) Foundation, in Lagos, Nigeria. KIR Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children, youths, persons with disabilities, prisoners, women and local communities through Education, Capacity Building and Advocacy programs.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
