Tonight, cloud and outbreaks of rain will linger in parts of northern England. Showers elsewhere in England and Wales. Dry with clear spells elsewhere but low cloud towards north-east Scotland.

Saturday:
Tomorrow, spells of rain moving northwards into far northern England, southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scattered showers further south. Sunnier in Scotland but cloudy in the north-east.
