With many fans desperate to know more about what went on behind-the-scenes, Daisy recently made an admission about her audition process.  The hit show explores the relationship between Marianne and Connell, who viewers first meet as two students in their final year of school. The pair come from polar opposite lifestyles, with Marianne’s cold mother providing her with a lavish lifestyle while Connell’s loving mother Lorraine (Sarah Greene) cleans in the former’s home. Marianne and Connell soon embark on a secret romance and decide not to tell anyone at school about what’s going on between them.  Despite the pair’s clear connection and love for each other, things soon go south when Connell makes the decision to ask his friend Rachel (Leah McNamara) to the Debs ball.  READ MORE Normal People’s Paul Mescal opens up on ‘chemistry’ with co-star  This action leaves Marianne heartbroken and she begins to ignore Connell’s calls, not seeing him again until they bump into each other at a university party hosted by the former’s new boyfriend.  The rest of the series sees the pair remain on a will they/won’t they trajectory throughout their time at Trinity University in Dublin and viewers were left unsure exactly over how things panned out.  Since the show first dropped back in April, fans have been desperate to know everything about the show’s two stars, Daisy and Paul.  Speaking recently on a panel for the Deadline Virtual Screening series Daisy admitted she left everyone particularly emotional after her chemistry read through.   Asked if it was true she had left everyone in the room “in tears” the star replied: “Yeah, which I didn't know whether that was a really good sign or a really bad one but yeah!" She delved further into the process, adding: “I’ve never had that before, it was a very strange day because I sort of had the initial self-tape that I'd sent off and it was about two weeks later when I got the call that I was down to the final five. “I’d read the book and I’d fallen so deeply enough into the character that I felt so anxious on that audition day because I knew that that was sort of my only chance." The actress explained the quick process before the read-through, continuing: “It was very strange because I was sort of flown over in the morning and I sort of spent the whole day psyching myself up.   “And then I kind of had a quick like two minute chat with Paul, before the audition, where I kind of strung some form of a senten
