1 May 2022 - On this 3rd Sunday of the Easter season, we consider the story of Jesus’ post-resurrection encounter with Peter on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Peter had “quit” and had gone back to his old way of life. Like him, we may also find ourselves tired, disappointed and discouraged, and we need to re-encounter the risen Jesus to be refreshed and taught once again what lies at the heart of love and discipleship. It is in self-giving that we find fulfillment, joy and intimacy with God.
