Long term conditions and leaving lockdown | National Voices Covid Conversations |
|
This webinar was recorded 05/06/20.
In this webinar, we discuss Long term conditions and leaving lockdown, chaired by Rebecca Steinfeld (Head of Policy, National Voices) and Rachel Matthews (Project Manager, National Voices). Our discussion focused on how people's experience has changed since the lifting of lockdown and what could be done better in the future. We were joined by Emily Hough (Director for Strategy NHSE), Kate Foster (Deputy Director for Shielding Policy at the DHSC), and Emma Easton (Head of Voluntary Partnerships NHSE ). About this series: We have created a new webinar series called 'National Voices Covid Conversations' focusing on health inequalities and Covid-19. This is partly to prepare for our conference later in the year, but primarily because more stories and data are emerging that show the differential impact of this virus. Topics include the disproportionate ethnic impact of Covid-19 on BAME people, how charities can cope as need increases but the economy declines, food insecurity and anxiety, and the widening digital divide. We believe that these gaps need urgent attention and policy solutions. Please take a look at our website for our upcoming webinars: https://www.nationalvoices.org.uk/eve... |
