Disney has released the first trailer for upcoming Pixar movie Elemental.

In the trailer we’re introduced to the inhabitants of Element City—a place where “fire-, water-, land-and air residents” all live together.
We also meet the film’s two main characters, Wade and Ember, who are seen bumping into each other for the first time. Made from opposing elements—fire and water, the pair meet after Ember’s headphones fall on the floor and Wade accidentally drops water onto Ember’s hand when she reaches to pick them up.

While appearing to be completely opposite on the surface, Elemental is seemingly setting up an unlikely friendship between the pair, following the age-old saying of opposites attract.
The movie stars Leah Lewis as Ember Lumen and Mamoudou Athie as Wade Ripple. The film is directed by Peter Sohn.

Elemental is set for release on June 16, 2023.
