video thumbnail
Studies show that children learn more while playing games at school compared to just listening. Yet the further children progress into the schoolsystem, the less games are being used for teaching. Jan is an educational innovator who wants to change the current educational model. His talk is about how serious gaming can be applied so we can offer more tailor-made education for schoolchildren, students and teachers. And how it can help them to make the right choices and benefit from their talents during their whole life. “There’s more possible then people realise.”

Jan was born in Brabant (NL). At the moment he lives in Nijmegen and hes two children. He studied innovation management and technical business science. Via several jobs in education he started his own business. His passion lies in innovation systems and how you can use them for society.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
