Get amazed by the magic of Bollywood Monster Orchestra (BMO) at 2014 #BollywoodMonster Mashup - the LARGEST South Asian Festival in Canada.

The #Bollywood Monster Orchestra is a high-powered combination of traditional Bollywood melodies and Western rock instruments. BMO is as old as #Bollywood Monster Mashup itself, and over the years, it has featured a variety of instruments from numerous cultural backgrounds. For their performance in 2014, BMO was challenged for a Bollywood Monster Double take: in other words, presenting western songs that plagiarized Bollywood songs and Bollywood songs that plagiarized western songs. Though BMO is constantly evolving, one thing stays the same from year to year - their amazing combination of music and talents.

2014 BMO included the following amazing performers:

Bass - Lorenzo Castelli
Lorenzo Castelli is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays as a sideman with a variety of artists around Toronto and surrounding areas.

Drums - Ed Mortenson
Ed is a freelance drummer in Toronto, Canada.
He has played all over the world from Afghanistan (playing for the troops with numerous artists), Sochi Russia( playing for the NHLPA at the 2014 world Olympics) to spending 3 years playing and touring southeast Asia and the middle east with the Show band The Highlites.

Guitar - Geoff Willingham
Toronto guitarist Geoff Willingham aka “Geoff Star” has been very active on the scene since beginning his professional career at age 15.
He played at the festivals such as: Summer Live in Stanley Park (Vancouver), Sunset Sessions (San Diego), Telus Ski & Snowboard festival (Whistler), Wakestock (Collingwood), Open Sky (Edmonton) and multiple cross Canada tours including the ‘Joint Venture Tour’ where Geoff played guitar for all three acts, Daniel Wesley, KO and Rebel Emergency.

Keys - Jake Payne
Jake began playing classical piano at age 7. He is a McMaster University honours graduate, with a Bachelor of Music in both Education and Performance. Jake has performed in bands that have opened for Randy Brecker, I Mother Earth, Barney Bentall, The Watchmen, Ronnie Milsap, and Canadian jazz great Don Thompson. His nickname in the studio is ‘One Take Jake’ and on stage is ‘The Secret Weapon’. He has done many broadway shows all across southern and central Ontario, including Annie, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver Twist, The Mikado, HMS Pinafore, and Brigadoon. He is a wonderful educator and has taught music courses at Sheridan College and
Georgian College. He has taught private music lessons in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Bass and Violin and he is proficient in all the orchestral instruments.
