Justice Initiatives at BPL is partnering with community organizations and agencies to produce a series of Know Your Rights workshops. This event in the series will focus on When Someone Dies – Going to Surrogates Court in New York City. This event will be livestreamed here and on the BPL YouTube channel. There will be a Q&A session at the end of the workshop, and you will be able to post your questions in the livestream chat.
Partner: The NYS Court’s Office for Justice Initiatives’ (OJI) mission is to ensure meaningful access to justice in civil, criminal, and family matters for all New Yorkers by using every resource, such as pro bono programs and self-help services. OJI will partner with the BPL on monthly programs scheduled for the first Thursday of the month entitled “First Thursday”, focusing on Legal Rights and Court Resources.
