|
Shōbōgenzō Shoaku Makusa 諸惡莫作 'Not Doing Wrongs' by Eihei Dōgen (1200-1253). The translation is by my Zen ‘grandfather’ Gudō Nishijima Roshi (1919-2014) and his student, Mike Chodo Cross. It is read aloud for the benefit of those who have difficulty with reading for any reason. The text itself is available here: https://www.thezensite.com/ZenTeachings/Dogen_Teachings/Shobogenzo_1_NC.pdf
You can also buy the first volume of the Shobogenzo translated by Nishijima and Cross: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/249103.Master_Dogen_s_Shobogenzo John Fraser briefly describes the fascicle here: https://glasgowzengroup.com/cat_shobogenzo/chapter-31/ |
