Hara cultivation |
|
Hara (肚) means belly in Japanese and refers to the spiritual center that rests in our abdomen-pelvis.
In fact, within Japanese embodied practices, including everything from tea ceremony to archery, it is understood that intelligence and emotion is not centered in our head or heart, but in our belly. Because of this, the daily cultivation of Hara is seen as an essential part of following any worthy path in life. At the Ritual as Justice School, we also see Hara cultivation to be essential to doing undoing cultural traumas such as white supremacy and misogyny embodied in both our individual and collective bodies. ** Follow Ritual as Justice Scool at: https://ritualasjustice.school/ https://www.instagram.com/ritualasjusticeschool/ https://www.facebook.com/ritualasjusticeschool |
