On the way back from the Mobile Beat DJ conference in Las Vegas last week, I got to thinking again about how it is that some DJs succeed, and others struggle - when on the face of it, so-called "DJing skills" aren't apparently having much of an effect on either outcome!

It reminded me that, more than ever, as a DJ nowadays you need to understand that if you're not working constantly on the five big areas necessary to succeed, you won't move forward - the area or areas you're neglecting will hold you back.

So in this edition of my Learn to DJ vlog series, I revisit those five areas. Treat it as a reminder if you're one of our regulars (which one are you slacking on right now?) or a primer if you're not.
