Uttar Pradesh is set to decide the fate of 623 candidates in the first phase of 18th legislative assembly election in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Nearly 2.28 crore voters (nearly 15% of the total registered 15.02 crore electorate), including 1.24 crore men, 1.04 crore women and 1,448 third gender, are expected to cast their votes.
