In the 21st century, 2022 is gonna be one of the most significant years as a lot

One of the biggest reasons for the significance of this year was that according to Chinese official state data it was in this year that for the first time in over 300 years that China stopped being the most populous country in the world. In 2022, it was for the first time in more than 60 years that China saw a decline in its population level.

Last year, China’s population decreased by almost 850000 and it is speculated that it will keep decreasing for the next few decades until the end of the century and according to experts, it will affect the world we today live in. For many years, the population gap between China and India was decreasing as the Indian population was increasing at a tremendous rate. Now, India has finally surpassed the Chinese population in April 2023 and is the world’s most populated country
as of now.

This title will probably remain with India for the rest of the 21st century as India’s population will keep growing while China’s population will keep on declining. Within around 40 years from now, in 2060, the Indian population is projected to reach the 1.7 billion people mark, then it will stabilize for a short time before it starts to shrink again by the century’s end. Whereas, the
year 2022 in which China saw a decline in its population was just a beginning of a years-long process in which China’s population is theorized to decline steeply after almost 30 years from now. By the year 2050, China’s population is speculated to have decreased by a number of 100 to 200 million people as compensation for its population right now.

And by the beginning of the next century in the year 2100, China’s population might fall from an enormous 1.41 billion right now to only 800 million people. If this happens, this population decline will be a historic one as humanity has never seen such a rapid decline in population before this. If this decline happens as speculated by experts, by the end of this century China’s population will be only half as to that of India at that time as India’s projected population by the end of the century is said to be around 1.5 to 1.6 billion people.
