Salah to Spain? 'Nothing to say' says Klopp |
|
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted on Saturday that the surprise absence of Mohamed Salah from the starting line-up against Crystal Palace was simply down to a need to rest the Egyptian after an intense period of matches.
Salah came off the bench in the second half to score twice inside three minutes in Liverpool's 7-0 rout of the London side. Premier League's top scorer was unusually benched - by coincidence or not - hours after an interview with a Spanish media outlet in which he appeared to question his future with Liverpool and suggested he could be open to a move to Spain.
