RUSSIAN forces prepare lethal anti-aircraft missile systems for attack in harrowing footage.

The Russian Ministry of Defence released a new video that shows the anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian Air Forces.

“Air defense systems provide troops with a reliable shield against attacks by enemy air targets and perform tasks around the clock,” said the ministry in a statement.

The ministry said the system detects and hits "every" aircraft and missile – fighter jets, helicopters, cruise and ballistic missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

“SAMs can hit almost all types of aircraft in their range of altitudes and ranges. No one can come closer than thirty kilometers to the positions of our troops and go unnoticed in the sky,” explained the statement.

“During the special operation, these air defense units alone destroyed more than 40 targets, added the ministry.
