A play organised by NUI Galway has been described as “explicit and obscene” by attendees at the performance at GMIT Castlebar on 30 September 2019.

The play is called “The Kinds Of Sex You Might Have At College” and is produced by Charlotte McIvor, Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at NUI Galway and supported by others at NUI Galway, including Pádraig McNeela, Lecturer in Psychology.

The play is touring universities and colleges in Ireland, and has been organised by NUI Galway with a view to developing it for 2nd level students and younger age groups in the future.

NUI Galway has refused to come on air and to engage with parents who have expressed serious concerns about the explicit content of the play.
