This is the much-anticipated facelift of the Tesla Model 3, which has been internally codenamed Project Highland. The updated model features aesthetic enhancements, increased range, and new features, primarily for the European rear-wheel-drive and long-range versions. The exterior design is more chiseled, with a redesigned front and rear end, new LED daytime running lights, and two new colors—Ultra Red and Stealth Gray. The interior has also been revamped to be more lounge-like, featuring new ambient lighting and improved soundproofing materials.

The dimensions of the car remain largely the same, but it is now an inch longer and a tenth of an inch shorter in height. The estimated WLTP range for the updated RWD Model 3 is 344 miles, while the long-range variant can go up to 421 miles, marking an 11 to 12 percent increase from the current models. Performance figures remain consistent, with a 0-62 mph time of 6.1 seconds for the RWD model and 4.4 seconds for the long-range all-wheel-drive variant.

The interior now features a wraparound design with an "enveloping architecture" that includes aluminum and fabric materials. The central screen remains the same size but has slimmer bezels, and there's also a new 8.0-inch rear display with integrated climate, ventilation, and infotainment controls. Tesla has also replaced the column-mounted levers with steering-mounted controls, similar to the Model S and Model X.

Deliveries for the updated Model 3 are expected to begin in late October in Europe and the Middle East. Production is already underway at Gigafactory Shanghai, which is Tesla's largest producer and a global export hub. Details about the North American model and its availability are expected to be announced soon. Overall, the updated Tesla Model 3 appears to offer a blend of aesthetic upgrades, improved range, and enhanced features, making it one of the most anticipated electric vehicles of the year.
