A Revolutionary War living historian demonstrates how a Soldier would have used the shoulder fired mortar.
This shoulder fired flintlock mortar or Hand mortar was the predecessor to the modern day grenade launcher. It fired a small explosive shell that was filled with black powder and projectiles.
