The Right Way to Lift Weights and Get in Shape |

The Right Way to Lift Weights and Get in Shape. I've come across a lot of people over the years, many in the bodybuilding and fitness world. And it's amazing to me how many of them--when they are beginners that is--think that there is ONE RIGHT WAY to get in shape or perform an exercise. Now, of course, I DO feel that there is the right way for an individual, but I've found that there are variations in human beings that must be taken into consideration when finding what the RIGHT WAY actually is. The thing that is wrong with this thinking when applied to any exercise is that it is based on the assumption that there is only way to use an exercise. Well, that's absurd. That's like an artist saying that there's only one way to use the color blue. You see, the form on any given exercise can be changed, or adjusted to create a certain result or to stress a certain part of the body OR TAKE STRESS AWAY from a certain part of the body. These adjustments can create dramatic effects, positive or negative, and when an exercise is performed by a person in a way that is NOT in harmony with their body, the effects can be disastrous to say the least. This is why I say not to try to be like everyone else. Be like yourself and find out what that is, and how your body should move. This way, you'll create more results and greater health and longevity.
