#Shorts Maybe you’ve been experiencing pain with lunges? Yeah… it’s fairly common. 😏 But it’s not necessarily the lunge’s fault!
The real culprit is probably your knee alignment. So watch closely to see what I’m talking about…. ⬆️ If you’re like a lot of women, because of the width of your hips, your knee is set up at a slight disadvantage when in the bottom of that lunging position. Your knee may naturally want to shoot inward, placing a ton of undue tension through your knee tendons. 😬 Combine that with weak hip/glute muscles, and your knee will really wobble around! But if you slow down and pay attention to where your knee is pointing, making sure it stays lined up over your 3rd or 4th toe, your knee will be much happier. 😊 💥 You can also include some extra hip/glute work to provide your knee with more stability so it doesn’t wobble around as much - it’s a WIN WIN!!🙌🙌 Moral of the story: 👉 Don’t write off lunges quite yet!
