JNCC Our Ocean and Climate Change

video thumbnail
Our ocean, seas and coastal environments have an important role to play in helping to reduce the overall impacts of climate change, for example by absorbing and locking up atmospheric carbon and by protecting us against the impacts of storm surges. However, climate change also has an impact our seas, and ultimately the benefits and services our seas provide.

JNCC are working to develop the evidence-base to help support climate-smart decision-making in the marine environment against the backdrop of a changing climate.
