When a locket is taken from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back - along with anyone in his way. In a Violent Nature is both written and directed by genre filmmaker Chris Nash, making his feature directorial debut after many short films previously. He also works in special effects, and was the creature effects supervisor on Psycho Goreman. Produced by Peter Kuplowsky and Shannon Hanmer. This initially premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight section. IFC Films has unveiled another trailer for the acclaimed slasher horror In a Violent Nature, arriving in theaters this May (see the other full trailer). It first premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to rave reviews praising it as something new. The gimmick for this one is that it's all from the perspective of the killer - following him as he goes around slashing. This iconic new film tracks an undead, ravenous zombie creature as it makes its way through the woods.
