Reykjavík (2023) is the capital and the largest city of Iceland (Ísland). Reykjavik has 130,000 citizens and its region 200,000. The total population of the island of Iceland is almost 400,000. The icon of Reykjavik is the Lutheran Cathedral Hallgrímskirkja. The cathedral was built between 1945 and 1986. It took 41 years to complete the building.
