John McWhorter on the new anti-racist religion: Live episode of ‘The Invisible Men’ | LIVE STREAM

video thumbnail
Americans on both the left and right are asking: How has the conversation on race in America become so crazy? According to Columbia University’s John H. McWhorter, a well-meaning but pernicious form of anti-racism has become not a progressive ideology but a religion — one that’s illogical, unreachable, and unintentionally “neoracist.”

How does this new religion affect the rising generation’s belief that they have control over their own lives? AEI’s “The Invisible Men” podcast hosts Dr. McWhorter on its first live show to discuss his new bestselling book “Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America” (Portfolio, 2021) and what will happen if this religion is left unchecked. Dr. McWhorter will also advise the rising generation and Darryl, a 16-year-old Black kid from “forgotten USA,” on how to navigate through the shouting and blaming that is a growing part of American society.
