A short recap from our hike to Djevelporten (Devils gate) in Lofoten, Norge.

Turen til Fløya og Djevelporten starter rett utenfor sentrum av Svolvær. Stien begynner like ved barnehagen i Blåtindveien, og leder oppover den bratte lia. Snart kommer du til en sherpatrapp som ble påbegynt i 2019. Det er tilrettelagt fine rasteplasser og benker underveis. Og det trengs – for det går bratt oppover!
Oppe på den første heia der terrenget flater noe ut, deler stien seg i to. Én leder til høyre mot Svolværgeita. Du skal følge stien som går rett frem før den dreier østover og inn i den brede dalen som ender i et skar mellom Frosken og Fløya. Det er lagt klopper over myrterrenget.

The trip to Fløya and Devil's Gate starts right outside the center of Svolvær. The trail begins near the kindergarten in Blåtindveien, and leads up the steep slope. Soon you will come to a sherpa staircase that was started in 2019. There are nicely arranged picnic spots and benches along the way. And it's needed – because it's a steep climb!

Up on the first plateau where the terrain levels out somewhat, the trail splits in two. One leads to the right towards Svolværgeita. You should follow the trail that goes straight ahead before it turns east and into the wide valley that ends in a pass between Frosken and Fløya. Planks have been laid over the marshy terrain.
