Let’s Redefine Sexual Assault | Nora Van Horn | TEDxPSU |
|
This talk dives into myths about sexual violence and why universities are incentivized to perpetuate them. Nora has worked with the Schreyer Gender Equity Coalition on this issue for years and will explain how university communities should define and act on sexual violence to make our community equitable and safe. Nora Van Horn is a fourth-year Penn State student pursuing majors in Philosophy, Global and International Studies, and Chinese, and a minor in Civic and Community Engagement. Her academic and extracurricular work enables her to grapple with local and global issues, applying ethical theory to analyze what is just — and what is not — and understand how we can cooperatively create a better future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
