Strong earthquake jolts Delhi-NCR, tremors felt in North India |

Earthquake of 6.6 magnitude hit Hindu Kush area in Afghanistan, sending tremors across Delhi and parts of North India. Tremors were felt in the national capital and parts of north India on March 21. People rushed out of their houses to open spaces. The estimated magnitude of earthquake is 6.6 on the Richter Scale hit 133km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan today at 10:17 pm IST. Prakash Chaudhary, resident of Dronanagiri Society in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad on why families have run out of buildings due to the earthquake said, β βMany of the residents of our building came to the common ground area. People were checking their phones constantly for any updates,β said a local resident of Sector 22 in Noida.
