Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in the capital city of Budapest with the "TUR" aircraft in response to the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
President Erdoğan was welcomed at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport by Janos Boka, Minister of State for European Affairs, Anett Varga, Director General of Protocol, Viktor Matis, Ambassador of Hungary to Ankara and Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, Ambassador of Turkey to Budapest. President Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Advisor Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç and some officials also arrived in Budapest. Leaving the airport, Erdoğan travelled to the Carmelita Monastery, where Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's office is located, for a bilateral meeting. During the meetings to be held by President Erdoğan and the accompanying delegation with the Hungarian side within the scope of the visit, it is envisaged that bilateral relations will be discussed in all dimensions and views on regional and global developments will be exchanged. Erdoğan will attend the celebrations of the Founding Day of the Hungarian State and a part of the World Athletics Championships hosted by Hungary. President Erdoğan is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with other counterparts who will attend the celebrations and events. |
