Shining A Light On The Hidden Recesses Of Our Brains: Are We Subject To Implicit Bias and What Can We Do About That?
The process by which we perceive and understand is not neutral or unbiased. This panel discusses the workings of our minds, delving into research about attitudes and biases we may be unaware are influencing us. Panelists will exchange ideas about the effects of implicit biases on society and on decision making and will pay particular attention to new developments in ways to address such biases. The discussion will emphasize the importance of this subject to the administration of justice in the 21st century.
