Chinese President Xi Jinping extended a warm welcome to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing. Putin's state visit to China marked his first overseas trip since he commenced his fifth Presidential term. During the first day of his visit, Putin held bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi, signed a joint declaration and discussed several new bilateral agreements between Beijing and Moscow.
