In 1935, the Schiaparelli house invested the Hotel de Fontpertuis, 21 place Vendôme: 5 floors, 98 rooms, more than 700 employees and a shop on the ground floor overlooking the Vendôme column. Elsa has the idea to cut the newspaper articles celebrating its success to make a printed newspaper clippings.

En 1935, la maison Schiaparelli investit l’Hotel de Fontpertuis, 21 place Vendôme : 5 étages, 98 pièces, plus de 700 employés et une boutique en rez-de-chaussée donnant sur la colonne Vendôme. Elsa a l’idée de découper les articles de presse célébrant sa réussite pour en faire un imprimé coupures de journaux.
