Honestly, I do not think we need to be worried about this film. Here is a more short and sweet version all listed out.
1) Legendary and Warner Bros. are big time film companies and should be able to easiely handel the unhappy producers that were let go.
2) Edwards is a good director, and a real fan of Godzilla. He will do the character justice for sure.
3) Frank Darabont is a great writer. The Mist is a strong indication that he can handel monsters. Shawshank is more proof that he is great. His involvement with this script is awesome.
4) Toho is on this one. Unlike with Tristar in 98, Toho wants this to be an actual Godzilla film and has shown us with IDW that they mean business.

Hope this alleviates some fears that I have heard from people recently.
