In Asia, unique martial arts can be found in many countries across the continent. Apart from the differences in techniques and approaches, many forms of Asian martial arts also incorporate a deep level of spirituality.
In Thailand, Muay Thai is the predominant martial arts form in the country. It involves the use of fists, shins, knees and elbows to form one of the most complete forms of unarmed striking combat. But as Tony Cheng reported, the fighting art is also practiced by children, many of whom are involved competitively, which experts say might be detrimental to their growth and development. Over in India, its diverse cultures and ethnicities have led to the birth of various martial arts forms since ancient times.
