video thumbnail
Bibian Mentel Spee is a Dutch athlete and author, and founder of the ‘Mentelity Foundation.’ Her dream of becoming a professional snowboarder didn’t go without a struggle. On her way to the Olympic games in Salt Lake City 2001 she lost her leg due to bone cancer, a disease that came back nine times the last eighteen years. But, the athlete never gave up! She won the World Championship seven (!) times and three Paralympic gold medals. Bibian wants to inspire people to never give up on their passions and to live life to the fullest. It’s impossible not to be inspired by her and her life motto: “Life is not measured by how many breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.” Bibian Mentel Spee is a Dutch athlete and author and the founder of the ‘Mentelity Foundation’. With this, she realizes projects that improve the lives of people who are physically challenged. Chasing her dream of
