दिल्ली-एनसीआर, हरियाणा, राजस्थान समेत करीब-करीब पूरे उत्तर भारत में मंगलवार रात को भूकंप के तेज झटके महसूस किए गए. इमारतों के हिलने से दहशत में लोग घरों से बाहर निकल आए. झटके करीब एक मिनट तक महसूस किए गए. राष्ट्रीय भूकंप विज्ञान केंद्र (नेशनल सेंटर फॉर सीस्मोलॉजी) के मुताबिक, रिक्टर स्केल पर 6.6 की तीव्रता वाला भूकंप अफगानिस्तान के फैजाबाद में आया. भूकंप का केंद्र 156 किमी की गहराई में था.दिल्ली, नोएडा, गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद, गाजियाबाद, चंडीगढ़ और श्रीनगर समेत अनेक जगहों पर भूकंप के डराने वाले झटके तब महसूस किए गए, जब ज्यादातर लोग रात के खाने के बाद सोने की तैयारी में थे या आराम फरमा रहे थे. झटके बाद लोगों में बेचैनी बढ़ गई. बहुत सारे लोग सड़कों और पार्कों की तरफ भागने लगे.भूकंप का ये ताजा झटका इतना जोरदार था कि जो लोग घर, दुकान, बाजार या सकड़ कहीं भी थे, उन्होंने जरूर महसूस किया. फिलहाल लोग दहशत में हैं. हालांकि दिल्ली, इस्लामाबाद और काबुल में अब तक किसी जानमाल के नुकसान की खबर नहीं है. भारत में भूकंप का सबसे ज्यादा असर जम्मू-कश्मीर, पंजाब, हरियाणा सहित दिल्ली-एनसीआर में है.
Strong tremors of earthquake were felt on Tuesday night almost in entire North India including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan. People came out of their homes in panic due to the shaking of the buildings. The tremors were felt for about a minute. According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Faizabad, Afghanistan. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 156 km. Fearful tremors were felt in many places including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh and Srinagar when most people were preparing to sleep after dinner. Or were resting. After the tremors, restlessness increased among the people. Many people started running towards the streets and parks. This latest shock of the earthquake was so strong that the people who were in the house, shop, market or street, they definitely felt it. At present people are in panic. However, there is no news of loss of life or property in Delhi, Islamabad and Kabul so far. The maximum impact of earthquake in India is in Delhi-NCR including Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana.
