The Soviet Union collapse throughout the late 1980s eventually led to its downfall in 1991, but along with it it also caused what had previously been suppressed ethnic tensions to become full scale wars or civil wars.

The first part of this series covers the first three major conflicts which took place in the Post-Soviet era, and this video covers the following three. These took place in Ukraine, Moldova and then Tajikistan.
