Fuel-efficient power for both city commutes and outdoor adventures
2024 Santa Fe is available with two powerful and efficient powertrain options. The standard powertrain is a 2.5-liter direct-injected, turbocharged engine (Theta III engine family) mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with an estimated output of 277 horsepower @ 5,800 rpm and estimated torque of 311 lb.-ft. @ 1,700 – 4,000 rpm. Santa Fe front-wheel drive models have EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 20 city/29 highway/24 combined. All-wheel drive models, with the exception of the XRT, have EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 20 city/28 highway/23 combined. The XRT all-wheel drive model has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 19 city/26 highway/22 combined.

For eco-focused buyers, a 1.6-liter direct-injected, turbocharged hybrid (Gamma III engine family) linked with a six-speed automatic transmission provides an estimated combined engine and motor output of 231 horsepower and estimated torque of 271 lb.-ft. Santa Fe hybrid front-wheel drive models have EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 36 city/35 highway/36 combined. Hybrid all-wheel drive models have EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 35 city/34 highway/34 combined.
