I continue to experiment with the power of the ATEM Mini Pro when combined with vMix and using NDI and Skype behind the scenes to make a versatile production environment. With NDI enabled Skype calling you can use a conference call and bring each caller into your production as an individual source. ATEM Mini Pro is a great hardware based tool for video creation. I converted to all SDI inputs to add versatility. vMix is a great video production software based tool for video production. I use the ATEM to offload the camera processing/switching duties. Combined they can raise your production quality exponentially. The way they are marketed it would seem having both is redundant but their strength are very complimentary. I prefer a hardware switcher for handling the feed from my cameras. The vMix handling of the graphics side of the production is exceptional and exceptionally easy.
